I feel we lucked out by choosing to go to dinner at the Cellar in Elora. We reserved in short notice but were able to secure a table on the lovely patio overlooking the Grand River. Our waitress was delightful and attentive. My partner chose the special which was a full rack of ribs with shrimp. It was a very generous portion and he enjoyed it thoroughly! I chose the Chicken Pesto Alfredo . It was a huge portion, enough for a second meal at home, but delicious! We would go back again if we are ever in beautiful Elora again. (There is sidewalk construction in front of the restaurant which caused us some concern of how we were going to get in but we were guided by the helpful construction workers nearby. It will be great when construction is completed.)
Very good and friendly service from Monica. A credit to this establishment. We ate in the basement. We had burgers of different sorts. The kitchen is in full control of allergies, so I had a wonderful meal. Reasonably priced. 
Stopped here for lunch on a snowy Wednesday while traveling for work. The beer was great and the food was delicious! I had the coconut carrot curry soup - AMAZING! It was soft smooth and flavorful! I also had the bangers and mash, without the mushy peas because I’m allergic….also very delicious! The sausage was soft smooth light and fluffy but with a great snap casing!
Great service, drinks and food. Had the shrimp dip and mussels. Both delicious. Frites were cooked perfectly and served with a yummy aioli. Pretty patio with a great breeze ( which we were grateful for tonight)
Where do I start. Awesome experience! The Shepherds Pub is a quaint little pub in Elora with a fantastic location along the river. Clean with a quaint and rustic atmosphere. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. The decorative appointments were bang on and made you feel you were in the UK. A nice selection of craft beers without having too many to consider. Menu was simple and covered all the bases including plant based selections. The Swiss Mushroom burger was to die for. Cooked just right with a nice Dill Dijonaise sauce. The hand cut fries were a great touch. The Cod Fish and Chip dinner was excellent. Batter was crispy with a nice crunch without being overcooked. Kayla was a true joy. Not only did she have in-depth knowledge of the menu she knows what customer service excellence is all about. Her attention to detail made her a 10++. Manager Amy was receptive and exuded the theme of ‘customer service excellence’. Great value for money. Owners Sarah and Martha must be thrilled are fortunate to have a great team.
This is a wonderful little “diner” that specialises in breakfast and lunch. We had a delicious breakfast on a busy morning. During the time we were there, it was steady business, even having to turn some away. The waitresses and cook never stopped but remained pleasant and efficient! This is a little “gem” in the beautiful town of Elora. Wish we were closer as it would be a regular stop!
We ordered the Veggie crepe. Service was great and the food arrived quickly. Overall, it was nice. Nothing great, nothing new, definitely familiar. Personally, I will stick to sweet crepes instead of savoury. This place is definitely going to be good for their drinks.
Great spot in the older part of Elora. Friendly and attentive staff. I had a yummy latte and their TLT sandwich. It was a tasty vegan choice which is appreciated. There is limited seating indoors but they have a nice patio across the way from the cafe. It was a great place to have a coffee with a friend.
Best ever service!The food compared. Hot, abundant, and tastes. Very clean, and lots of parking, even for our trailer. Very accommodating, high chairs, etc.Favorite
It was an experience! Hubby and I were in town to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. We had lunch reservations and casually mentioned it between ourselves upon arrival. Jenna, our wonderful attendant, overheard and surprised us with complimentary sparkling wine to mark the occasion. I was touched by the thoughtful gesture.For the main course, we chose the Valentine’s Special, and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The steak and ribs were cooked to perfection—simply delicious. And the caramelized onion purée? I could eat it again and again!
The Lobby Bar is a charming, eclectic find in the beautiful town of Elora. It’s a classy, upscale cocktail lounge and restaurant combined. Excellent service! The decor keeps your attention-, so much thought has gone into the cocktail menu, the glassware and the seating. Our group of 5 enjoyed some very tasty drinks from the holiday menu. Stopped in for a slice and drink. This is a small town place in an older building and clearly its an old pizza place. But sometimes these places will surprise you. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Didn't have a chance to wait and get a full size fresh pizza but had a deluxe slice that sat there for a bit. however, it was very good. The crust was nice and thin, the sauce was good and everything stuck together well. $6 for deluxe slice and bottled drink. not bad..
On a night when a gigantic BBQ which involved 15 chef's and numerous restaurants involvement, we were a bit concerned about our dining options. As this restaurant's patio seemed busy, we crossed our fingers and were seated promptly. Simply put, the food was extremely good. The "brisket" burger was juicy and well smoked. My 1/2 rack of smoked ribs was the best I've had in many years! They were very meaty with incredible bark and favour. My wife and I couldn't have been happier with the accompanying fries as they were uniformly crunchy and soft on the inside. Kudos to whoever is in charge of smoking the meat.

Nice atmosphere. Good selection of teas and light snacks. We stopped for a tea and tried their Walnut Crunch. Hands down delicious. Tastes like the original from Timmies all those years ago.
This is the perfect place for a croissant. If you’re looking for a café that the Sunday locals crowd frequents, this is it! The people behind the counter are kind, and generous. Wow, I’ve had croissant all over the world, and these are contenders for the yummiest. 10/10 recommend if you’re in Elora and wanting to avoid the hyper touristy places near the Mill.
