Stumbled upon this place when visiting a friend that goes to USC. The breakfast sandwiches were so yummy and fresh, and the cinnamon rolls were so good. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a delicious breakfast!
Always great food. Service has always been great and Marino was no exception. He was possibly the best server we’ve ever had here. Can’t say enough good about this place!
The food, especially the Pimento Cheese was fabulous. But our waiter, Robby made our experience! Highly recommend visiting!
Everything we ate exuded freshness and quality. Everything about this place was amazing, gave me dejavu from my twenties when I lived in San Diego. The service was excellent and best chili releno ever. We will be back!
My wife and I returned for her birthday dinner and, as usual, was great. Valet parking is good and we were promptly seated. Our server, Lindsay, is the best! We had an app of fried oysters with great cocktail sauce. We both had the special which was Charleston mahi with crab and great grits along with collards. A bottle of Frank Family Chardonnay complemented everything well. This is our favorite restaurant in Columbia and we will return soon. It deserves the high level rating!
In town for a wedding, my wife and I made a reservation for dinner at Cola’s based on reviews and were not disappointed!From the moment we arrived through our dinner and dessert, the experience was top-notch. Our server, Belle, offered recommendations for dinner based on our questions. I ordered an unusual martini and she relayed the instructions perfectly to the bartender. Our dinners – fried whole flounder for her, blackened mahi and shrimp for me – were served hot with tasty sides.Reasonable prices, inviting ambiance, a noise level that allowed us to have a conversation, and nicely-prepared food all made for a great night out. We’ll be back!
Fantastic New Years Eve 10 Course dinner! Wow! Everything was delicious! The service, the food and the paired wine and cocktails were outstanding. The menu was creative and cooked to perfection. The service was great - not rushed, but not slow. After the dessert course, we were given a very nicely wrapped gift of the elegant menu with chocolates. This has been a favorite of ours for years and it's just getting better! We hope Motor does the NYE dinner again next year!
Wow, this place is great for a quick, tasty and affordable lunch. There were so many meat and side options! Everything I tried was good (make sure to try the yummy tomato pie). Some of the meats were a little dry but the flavor was good. We appreciated they really try to be careful with germs because they make sure you wear a glove while serving yourself, which I highly appreciate.
Very nice experience! Food was excellent (crab cakes sooooo good). Server was Margaret and she was attentive but didn’t hover.
This is a very good place to eat. The service was excellent. My wife and I split the four protein entree which was more than enough food for the both of us. The ribs are particularly good and the brisket and pulled pork are also delicious. We got Mac a cheese and coleslaw as sides and liked them too. I really enjoyed the basil old fashioned drink. It was a nice experience after spending the day hiking in Congaree National Park.
Met up with friends after attending a middle school wrestling meet nearby. Absolutely became our favorite restaurant in South Carolina. Came back last Sunday 2/23.Had Nicole the first time there and she was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! So of course asked for her again. She must be doing something right, which WE know she does, because the 2 parties ahead of us, asked for her too!! She is an asset to California Dreaming or any other establishment she may ever work!!! Knowledgeable, pleasant, just all around GREAT employee of California Dreaming.I had the Shrimp and Oysters and they were fresh as fresh could be, my wife had the FALL OFF THE BONE ribs which were amazing and mixed with Nicole was another PERFECT experience at California Dreaming!!!
Great location for gathering with friends. Servers were friendly—hostess not so much. Excellent Bourbon drinks and wine list. Worth a stop!
Very good food at Pearlz. The raw oysters were great, the seafood gumbo was really good but had more sausage than seafood, the main dishes we had were really good - fried shrimp and seafood linguine. And the cheesecake was top notch. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back. Great location with easy parking.
Everything was wonderful! The waiter, Mickey (at the bar) was great. Great atmosphere and nice company.Will definately visit this location again.
Nice view and an outdoor patio. THE Chicken tenders were average. But my husband had jambalaya and said it was very good.
Grat food with a warm environment!! Awesome pizza and the owner Willie was very cordial to our party!! Even when TK, TJ and Humphrey started to get out of hand.
The wifey just got back from back to back work assignments and wasn't in the cooking mood so I made reservations and we meandered over to Saluda's in Five Points to give it a try.At the onset the staff were great. Our waiter "Carl" aka Andrew was Uber efficient and had a great personality, but not intrusive at all. The ambiance was nice , lively but not too noisy To our surprise we stumbled in at the tail of restaurant week so we broadened our horizons by trying things we normally wouldn't. The appetizers were half size for the special menu but still sizable. The wifey got the crab cake and I the fried green tomatoes. The crab cake was good, but not as good as the wifey's. The tomatoes were amazing, definitely on the reorder list. Because I love them'; we also got a full order of the fried oysters and we're not disappointed! Yum! Outr next course was a Caesar salad for the wifey and lobster bisque for yours truly. Both delicious. We finished with a perfect filet for the wifey and the grouper, best I have had All in all the food and experience were as good as we have had in any restaurant in Columbia and would highly recommend. For the best waiter, just ask for "Carl".
Burgers and fries were amazing. There is so much to choose from on the menu it we were told the burgers are the best in the area so we had to go for one! Fun atmosphere during early afternoon a mix of college students and families/older adults. Our waitress was so sweet, too.
Great downtown location, nothing fancy for service or seating (order at counter, and find a seat) but the food is amazing..... price is super affordable. Will definitely go back.
We wanted to eat outside while the weather permitted it, so five of us went there. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Both were excellent. Every dish was liked by all of us.
