I love this place! Every trip we take near Bakersfield has to make a stop here. Great atmosphere, service, food and coffee. Favorite spot is in a booth but if you’re a dinner stool person, they have them. Portions are not huge, but plenty, hash browns were amazing, crispy too.
Really enjoyed our meal and the ambience. Service was prompt, warm, and friendly. My husband and I ordered the taco combination plate with a shredded beef taco, beans and rice. Good flavor and taste good. Convenient parking. Will definitely go back when in the area.
I have loved this place for a very long time. I hadn’t been there for a long time and hoped it was still good. It has changed a bit. They no longer offer the pickled tongue with the set up. But I’m happy to report it is just as delicious as I remember.I did decide to try something new. I had the halibut. I would not recommend this. It was very tough and hard to eat.Everything else was wonderful. The service was good as well.
Our server, Sandra, was absolutely the best. She's bilingual in spanish and english, she was very nice. Excellent customer service.
Nice decor and good service. Very fresh ingredients including the salads. Sandabs were very fresh but too heavy on the sauce sort of made the fish swim. Should have removed the skin. Eggplant Parmesan was very fresh and well made but a bit heavy on the sauce. Wines by the glass are excellent and reasonably priced. But overall a very good place.

Brought back good memories of my childhood when Hungry Hunter had locations in the Bay Area. The service was exemplary. The prime rib was perfectly cooked.
Only open for lunches. Italian food is standard, but with some variations and also favorites. The food is outstanding! Take time to visit the deli / wine shop next door.
Locale scelto per caso di passaggio lungo un viaggio lunghissimo e bellissimo.Della serie ci serve un posto dove mangiare e poi subito a dormire per riposarsi e ripartire.Invece abbiamo trovato una ottima steakhouse dove abbiamo mangiato della carne buonissima cotta alla perfezione.Ma non solo, gin Martini perfetto, schrimp cocktail deliziosi, ottima birra.Per non parlare della gentilezza e della simpatia del personale.Onestissimo alla fine il conto.Se passate da queste parti fermatevi qua per pranzo o cena.Roby
We went on a Thursday night and there was no wait to be seated. Our friends assured us that this was normal for a weekday but they are very busy on the weekend. They guaranteed us that the food was top notch and they were right. There was a good assortment of food that was replenished regularly and served at the appropriate temperature. The sausage and veggie entre was superb and the wait staff was quick to clear old plates off our table. A pleasant and reasonably priced meal. 
We stop here for lunch on our way to San Diego. Ordered the Spicy meatloaf sandwich, Moo burger, 24 hr burger and sweet potatos fries. The staff very friendly and food is excellent! Large menu choices.We recommend this place to try.
I had a 1/2 portion of the Cobb salad. Portion was large and salad was tasty. Ice tea was fresh and came in a large glass with free refills. Great stop on our road trip to Northern California.
Firestone Grill is a terrific place to chill, hangout, and watch sporting events with friends in Bakersfield. Order their Tri-Tip sandwiches! Doubt you will be disappointed. 
We went to the Black Bear Diner for dinner, Sunday evening, we were promptly seated, our waiter Eric took excellent care of us, our tea glasses were always full, he was very attentive. The food was delicious, plenty of it. My husband had. Taco salad and I had the salmon dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was seasoned to perfection.
Casual place with good food. Cold beer selection is more than adequate. The sliders were delicious, as were all of the shareable appetizers. The music decibel level was good for having a conversation, which is sometimes an issue with me.
Pretty good upscale mexican but way understaffed. Service was slow and had to be prompted to most things. WE had eight for dinner and had a variety of plates. Started off with a large, creamy (option) guacamole, which was xlnt. I had the "Esthers Delight" a spicy plate named after one of the owner-sisters with a relleno, special taco and enchilada. The other folks had traditional cal-mex plates with rice and beans. The place is a little pricey but well decorated. Our dinner for 8 was $300. Its worth visiting.
We had an overnight in Bakersfield, and had drinks and appetizers at the bar. Beautifully restored hotel, and very large bar area. I had the ahi tuna nachos, and my husband had the Wagyu sliders. Large portion, and delicious!
We had the steak salad and there was a six ounce steak cut into chunks done perfectly. Next time I would order it without the gargan. Zola cheese, but thats just me. My wife thought it was perfect. It was about twenty two dollars. It was GF, but the waitress didn't know much about GF even though the menu suggested they had good GF choices.
Was visiting from out of state and stopped in to check it out. The dessert I received was excellent and very tasty. Ashley and Carmen were very helpful and very personable with their service!
Absolutely amazing service and food. Margo was Absolutely fantastic and we had an amazing time with her and Amaya!!! Keep up the fantastic work!
