The place is very comfy and aesthetics and with scrumptious food worth going. My baby enjoy the tempura and French fries baby friendly place too.

Cantonese cuisine, I was hoping for dim sum but turned out they stopped serving dim sum on the menu for almost 5 years now. Ordered a few of their signature dishes for sharing- Salt and Pepper Assorted Mushroom- Signature Smoked Duck with Lychee Wood- Pan Fried Tofu with Minced Chicken and Soya Sauce- Yuk Sou Hin Supreme Fried RiceWe also had different individual portions of soup. I had the Seafood one and it was a little salty but overall good. We also had individual desserts which were as it should be, no wow factor.The Signature Smoke Duck was wow! Amazing crispy skin that's almost fatless, tender duck meat and you can really taste the flavour of the smoke in every bite. This is the kind of dish I will want to have again the next time I return to Ipoh. The fried rice was delish too, excellent wok hey.The final bill came up to RM369 for 5 of us, that's pretty cheap for a meal of this quality.
Great dining experience. It is made extra memorable with Mr Tanvir and Mr Miguel who are very friendly, helpful and passionate. They are very professional in handling big morning breakfast crowds and always with great smiles. I came back for evening drinks and they are equally energetic and friendly. Wide variety of food and tasty too!
Super nice environment and nice waitress. The oxtail soup and sang har mee taste perfect. Love to be here if I visit Ipoh again.
The 10-course dinner with chef Lee Choon Boon was an absolute delight! Each course was a work of art, perfectly balanced and with innovative flavors. The presentation was impressive and the taste unforgettable. An exceptional experience that I can only recommend!
Litt skeptisk da vi kom inn og så lokalene, men vi fikk et bord ute på takterassen med utsikt over byen. Maten var fantastisk. En forrett med kamskjell og en med rå marinert seabass er noe av det beste vi noen gang har smakt. God vin fikk vi også, og servicen var upåklagelig. Dette stedet fortjener mange gjester.

You have not been to Ipoh, if you have not stepped into this place. An old coffeeshop even city people from KL, they would drive and gather to have the brunches and gather to meet friends. It's the food, the varieties (and used to be so cheap). A MUST try is to immerse yourself in the chicken hor fun (a soup fettucini) with dash of flavourful red prawn oil on top. Must try the egg custard, the satay pork, poh piah, famous smooth chee cheong fun (you can choose curry, sweet sauce or curry sauce), the squid and kangkong etc etc. The coffee here may not the best in town, so try something traditional like herbal pat poh cha. Note : the chicken hor fun stall does not start until 930am but you can try the rest first. The place is usually packed on weekends and public holidays. Will be a challenge if you come in big groups to find a seat. Enjoy, like many said, you have not been to Ipoh if you have not stepped into Thean Chun.
Highly recommend if you are looking for Chinese restaurant food.This restaurant usually serve fresh seafood and great Chinese cuisine.
Ipoh bean curd texture is very soft and melt in the mouth. Do ask for less sugar as the normal is pretty sweet. The ginger sugar is something different. Love the soya milk with the grass jelly combination. Grass jelly is chewy and the drink is not sweet.
Excellent food, good ambiance and good location with lots of parking spaces. Only thing is the service can be improved. Also I made reservations for 11.30am and arrived at 11.25am but they refused to let me in and asked me to wait outside the gate in my car for 5 minutes. Not very hospitable, especially towards me who is a person with disabilities. That's the setback for such a classy place.
Have always preferred this smaller restaurant to the more famous one across the street. The dim sum are smaller and that should be the way. The har kau is scrumptious (5/5) Siew mai ok (4/5), wu kok (4/5), porridge (4/5), char Siew pau (4/5). Expect to queue.

A big shout out to STG Restaurant and the staff. We had a superb meal there last night. The food was really fresh and delicious and the staff couldn’t have done more for us. The wedges and chips were an afterthought but so amazingly crispy! Highly recommend!
Went there for The Hog pizza takeout. The hand tossed thin crust was crispy at the edge and top with generous amount of cheese, ham, bacon and sausages! Enjoy the great music so much while watching the crew tossing the pizza dough. Will definitely visit again whenever in Ipoh. P/S: The place was quite packed on Friday’s night due to long weekend holiday in Ipoh. But, the service was fast and friendly.
