Havent been to Albany for too long. So first place for a coffee and a feed was here.Just as good as before.Baked eggs were spot on, and croissants brlliant.Wonderful cafe au lait (by two for the Biss) and hot chocolate.Thanks for a great start to the day
This is a good fish-and-chip shop along Middleton Road in Albany. They have indoor seating and do take-away as well. Opening hours are 11am to 8pm daily (closed on Mondays). We had dinner here recently and really enjoyed our meal. Several locally sourced fish on offer along with a range of non-fish mains and sides. Fish is prepared several different ways (battered, grilled, crumbled). We tried their snapper and shark grilled with chips. Seasoning was nice, fish fresh and tasted very good. Service was friendly & timely. Prices reasonable, portion sizes just fine. Overall, very good meal that we'd be happy to repeat.
A lovely, authentic setting with attention to details. Beef Korma was great, as was the butter chicken with rice and Naan bread. We were well tended to!
Food, coffee and atmosphere were all excellent. The staff were professional and attentive, despite a high patronage at the time we visited. The building is lovely. The cake selection is first class! I highly recommend this place if you are in Albany.
Make sure you book!Fantastic no frills Italian restaurant. They may have run out of pizzas by the time we arrived, however the food was delicious and the Calamari the best I’ve ever had - tender and very moreish. The pasta had by the rest of the party was apparently delicious and we ordered a second portion of the garlic bread with cheese it was that tasty.The staff were great and friendly on what was a busy night for them.Book and BYO or you may not get in and it stays open only until around 8-8.30 ish.The only reason it’s not 5* is simply because they ran out of pizza in an Italian restaurant.
We tried three times before being able to get a table, which tells how popular it is.It is an English style historical pub and has been cleaned up without destroying its charm. It isn't a big place with 3 separate rooms and an outdoor beer garden.Food was good, with an Irish style
Hooked On did a fine job with fish and chips and probably as good as anywhere. Their claim is they are the best in Australia.The atmosphere was a pleasant fish and chip shop, the service friendly and professional and yes, the fish and chips were very good quality, the fish fresh, the batter fine and overall a good experience.
Two nights here, room 3. Clean spacious room with double and bunk beds, “desk”, tv, chairs. Small kitchenette with fridge. Bathroom with loo and shower. Allotted parking space on front of room.Buzzing pub with live music.Bar food looked ok too.
Idealic location. Was very busy but we managed to get outside seating so our dog could be with us.Menu was ok, some vegan/ vegetarian options, but no cakes or sweet treats for dairy free people.Food was fresh and tasty.Service was ok, but they did seem stressed and unable to cope with demand. Not overly friendly and we had to wait ages for coffee and was disappointing.
Yummy breakfast burger. Quick service, friendly, cheerful staff, great coffee, nice outdoor and indoor seating & pet friendly. Enjoy my meals at this cafe whilst I was in Albany. Thanks
Excellent food and service. I had a very creative dish for starter: seared scallop with figs, Persian feta and duck confit. Excellent dish! My husband had mixed oysters which were very good too. For the main course, he had fish and chips with gummy shark, which was a basic but very good. I had seafood moussaka which was very good too. We are very satisfied with this restaurant.
What a great place to have dinner, off the beaten track in Albany but absolutely worth the visit! Very attentive staff and very friendly. It is a very large restaurant with some nice corners to it. Very generous portions and grilled to perfection!Can only recommend this place for dinner.
You will need to book for this very busy and popular restaurant. Good atmosphere, friendly and professional service and great food. We had the ravioli and fish of the day. Portions are generous.
Went for lunch and just had to start with a mug of the best coffee in town, Then came the Squid, excellent and then had to finish off with another coffee. Excellent service from 2 young ladies
Wonderful menu of options. Everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered. Family run restaurant and all staff were friendly and helpful, even giving us tips on what to do for our one day in Albany!
Spectacular. Superb food service and decor. Well worth going to Albany just to dine here. Undoubted one of the best dining experiences in Western Australia.
Conveniently located at the motel we stayed at. Great attentive service the food was beyond delicious and the price was very reasonable
Fabulous service during our birthday celebration last night- cocktails were delicious and food came out very quickly (despite them being very busy). Meals were big portions and all very tasty. Special mention to Kevin for the excellent customer service!
We were visiting Albany from the UK, wanted breakfast, saw Frederick's was busy, so, to me that means it's good. Eggs Benny one day, full English the next. Absolutely excellent food. Flat whites also excellent. Fully recommend.
The food is amazing. The avo on toast almost looks too good to eat and the porridge was a sight to behold, the most elaborate we’ve seen.
