I cannot rate this cafe enough, first time visiting after a recommendation and it did not disappoint, will definitely be returning.
We have been here a number of times now. Great coffee, fabulous cannoli, gorgeous authentic Italian lunchtime treats. Friendly staff and owners. Wonderful Italian café, the gelato looks fantastic too with many great flavours to choose from. Would highly recommend. Wonderful find.
My first time dining at The Farrier, visited during breakfast. I had "The Yorkshire Grill", DELICIOUS! Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. I will be a repeat customer for sure
Lovely little gem. I had one of the best steaks in my life, with a great rum sauce and fries. So so good. My wife had stone bass and mussels, she loved every bite of it. To finish, an affogato with coffee and amaretto Di Saronno. Service was super quick and everyone was friendly and extremely customer focused. I'll be back! 
Great location, Excellent room, lovely food, nice staff. We were really impressed with our stay at the Grainary. Hope to come back soon.

Beautiful view. Fish cooked to perfection with gorgeous batter. Chips good. Mushy peas very tasty as was the home made tartare sauce.
Had an outstanding meal at the Nicosia which was highly recommended by the couple running the Almar nearby, where we were staying.
Off chance visit and what a find - Great food ( even for me and I’m picky) nothing was too much trouble - great service well worth a visit
An amazing small cafe offering vegan food - the service was great and though we just wanted drinks, we were tempted by the cakes. The cheese and spinach scone with onion chutney was delightful. We also paid for an extra drink as the cafe offers drinks to those in need - a great idea
We booked a table as this was a highly rated place for a roast dinner near Scarborough. I had called ahead and enquired about vegetarian roast dinner options for my girlfriend. On the phone I was assured there were multiple options and although this technically was the case, neither were necessarily the best accompaniments for a roast (stuffed pepper and stuffed pasta). The service was great and we had a lovely table in a corner and the atmosphere was cozy and great. I ordered the beef roast dinner and my girlfriend ordered the stuffed peppers with a roast. The food came relatively quickly. The selection of vegetables was nice and was a welcomed change to have red cabbage and cheesy leeks although they would have been a bit more generous with the portion size as it was to share between the 2 of us. It would have also been nice to have some optional extras on the menu like a portion of cauliflower cheese. The roast dinner also only came with 2 roast potatoes which were really big but would have preferred 3 or 4 smaller ones. It came with a jug of gravy however it was meat gravy and there was not a vegetarian alternative but luckily my girlfriends stuffed peppers were quite saucy so her dinner wasn't dry. My beef was nice however it was slightly chewy and could have been hotter coming out and was only kept warm by hot gravy. Bit of an irrelevant side note but the loos were really nice! Everything else was really lovely and we did have a nice meal and I appreciate it is a small country pub in Scarborough but if you advertise as vegetarian friendly then I think it needs to follow through fully - for example being advised they don't have a veggie gravy upon ordering the dinner or even having a veggie alternative. I'm sorry to be negative, especially when we did have such a lovely time (hence the 4 stars) bu my girlfriend has been vegetarian for 5 years and situations like these feel very frustrating and easily avoidable if staff are more aware and informed.
This place was recommended by a few friends as it offers a decent choice for vegetarians, so on a recent visit to Scarborough I sought out the Stephen Joseph Theatre and found this great little eatery. It's so good that I went back two weeks later.Placed upstairs in this lovely old theatre, the restaurant offers a sweeping view over the bustling centre of Scarborough town. Booking is recommended, although on my first visit I hadn't reserved a table but was welcomed and accommodated with a minimal wait.The menu is interesting, with several different styles including Mexican and Japanese, but all of it mouthwatering and very affordable.The vegetarian and vegan selection is better than anywhere I've been recently in the Whitby/Scarborough area. The food is fresh and lovingly prepared. It is tasty and colourful. It does not disappoint.The staff are super friendly and helpful but not in your face. Everything is clean. I honestly don't have a bad word to say. I can't wait to go back again.
On the way to this place we were told it was the best in Scarborough, well we weren’t disappointed. Everything was cooked to order and was absolutely perfect.I had regular haddock, chips, mushy peas and ‘scraps’. They were delicious. No wonder this place is awarded winning and comes highly recommended by locals and visitors alike.
Came for a family outing. All had burgers and they were perfect. Great beer selection and music is spot on. Served by Megan and Mieta and service was fantastic. Highly recommend.
A fabulous meal with well presented tasty food. Good friendly service. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and would visit a lot more if we were local.
I regularly visit mother hubbards restaurant & the food, service, & ambience are to be experienced, it is by far the very best eatery in Scarborough. Try it once & you will never want to eat at any other restaurant. One look at the menu, & you are spoiled for choice, that you will want to share you experience with all of your friends
WOW , what a place, had the breakfast special, it was amazing , filled me for the day for just over 4 quid , check out their menu, always well worth a visit when in Scarborough
I went with family recently and the food was delicious! Staff are so friendly and food came fast too. The coffee was lovely and the food even better. Will definitely be visiting again!
It was our first time of visiting Gianni’s and soo glad that we found this hidden gem! We hadn’t made a booking but they fitted us in. We waited for our table in a cosy room with a cosy fire and we only waited for about ten minutes. The restaurant setting/environment is modern and attractive.Gianni’s serves good wine and delicious food. We ordered a bottle of Chianti which complimented our meal of bruschetta for starters followed by lasagna and cheesy garlic bread. Our starter was full of different flavours and absolutely delicious. The lasagna was one of the best that I’ve ever tasted!Don’t take any notice of some of the negative reviews on here about bad service because we experienced good service with friendly staff. Would I go back……..most definitely next time I’m in Scarborough! Thank you Gianni’s!
