Expensive? Certainly not for the quality. Absolutely superb and just really attentive staff but not overbearing. This will be a success story because they appear to have got everything right.
Our wedding anniversary visit, and it was our first time here. Great location, very elegant, and Aislinn was very attentive and fast. Thank you, we will definitely be back

Amazing food, portion size was very large. We were glad we didn't have starters and couldn't fit in a dessert!I had the seafood casserole - so much fish and shell fish, in a delicious broth with potatoes and beans served with cruty bread and butter. My husband's stuffed chicken breast filled a plate - it came with carrots, cauliflower, brocolli and potatoes. Staff were lovely and very helpful.We'll go back
Went here based on reviews. What a find! Amazing service from start to finish. Great chilli and garlic prawns in tasty sauce followed by two perfectly delicious pizzas. Good wine too. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting authentic Italian food
What stunning restaurant, so beautifully decorated and styled, it really causes you to stop and stare as you enter the doors!My husband and I had booked the Valentine’s set meal and had arrived a little early, we were the first to enter but were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We enjoyed sipping some Valentines Cocktails whilst we waited on our food…Nibbles - EBI Senbei (prawn crackers) - huge crackers with a spicy mayonnaise type dip to go with them.To Start - Aigamo Gyozas (crispy duck dumplings with hoisin) & Heart-Shaped California Roll (Dorset crab meat, avocado and cucumber topped with tobiko, spicy may and tempura crumb). - Both were very tasty, the gyozas really crisp on the outside and the hoisin had a deep, strong flavour which was great. The California roll was really good, however they did fall apart really easily so you ended up with a good chunk of it in your soy dipping dish. To Follow - Tori Katsu Curry (chicken katsu with Japanese curry sauce) & Yakisoba (chicken, king prawns and vegetables stir-fried with ramen noodles). Now these 2 dishes were absolutely fantastic! The chicken katsu was SO crisp, we’ve not experienced such a crisp coating ever in chicken, whilst the chicken stayed succulent and the sauce was really flavoursome. The yakisoba had plenty of chicken and prawns and the vegetables were very fresh. To Finish - Matcha Platter For 2 (Two mini matcha brûlée, matcha mochi and matcha chocolate truffles). The brûlée was really creamy, although cold, the truffles smooth and intense and the mochi were incredibly cold (the centre was still a little frozen) and was so-so. Some improvement was needed here.After the Valentine’s cocktails we had a couple of pints of Drgnfly pilsner which was a very decent pilsner, with great taste and a smooth finish. Throughout the meal all servers were friendly, attention and smiling throughout the meal. Our main server was Karly and she was truly wonderful, so full of joy, nothing was too much trouble and she was enthusiastic about making sure you had everything to enjoy a great evening.Thank you Karly!Some feedback - for such an amazingly styled restaurant full out authentic charm, the music was a rather odd choice, it was standard music you would hear in the car, rather than some traditional Asian instrumental work that we were expecting.
We came for dinner the other evening and the restaurant had a really good vibe, it was very busy and the food and service were on point. Our waiter Daniel made our evening extra special and recommended us some amazing wines to pair with our meal, the orange wine we had for dessert with the creme brulee was the perfect touch. Thank you all so much and we will be back very soon. 
Oooh la lá …. dinner at Oriel’s on the last night of February with good friends, fabulous food and good ambience. Welcomed, and served by Shannon, Jess, and Annette who were attentive as ever. A great menu but I chose: French Onion Soup, Beef Bourguinon, Dauphinois potatoes + ratatouille and a divine Strawberry Mille Feuille. Thank you to all the staff … oops almost forgot the accordion player for a great evening. A great place from a coffee (other drinks too) to a three course meal they have a great menu usually a specials board…we first came about 5years ago for a wedding reception, returned since for numerous cups of coffee, wine, brekkie, lunch, dinner and birthday celebrations - staff are always welcoming…
Just had lunch, a touch of class, cooked to utter perfection, great service too. Highly recommend. Gastronomic delight

We visited La Lupa tonight as a family of three for some pizza, and we absolutely loved it! From start to finish, the service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and welcoming.The pizzas were delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and cooked to perfection. What really made the experience extra special were the thoughtful little touches—high-quality branded mixers with our drinks and a complimentary amaretto shot at the end of the meal, which was a lovely surprise.It’s clear that La Lupa goes the extra mile to create a warm and authentic Italian dining experience. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
Large portions, loads of meat or seafood, had a very tempting menu, there are probably 10 dishes I’d like to have from that menu. A really nice cozy atmosphere. The outside doesn’t look that promising but do persevere and come in! And of course excellent service, the meal comes pretty quickly, this is just such a good place. I had the seafood pasta, which is always brilliant. The portions are so large you have to be pretty hungry to have a starter as well, although we did. The melon and Parma ham was a substantial size and really perfect, as was the chicken pate.
This is the best Thai I have eaten outside of Thailand the food is so fresh and flavours are some prominent because of that the staff are so happy to help with what is what and to are easy to accommodate your needs all with a smile but honestly they could be miserable and it wouldn't matter as long as the food is this good 10/10
Great experience, friendly staff that cannot do enough for you. And the food... Is something else, if your only in poole for a holiday try this place always take my family here and they love it.
Staff friendly and food was good, portions were big but the starter only had 2 praws on t but home cooked. The food was very tasty but It is a little on the pricey side. The steak came on the bone which was a suprise but tasty. We would recommend for a speical occassion. We went for a drink at lunchtime to look at menu and the staff were very helpful.
Highly recommend this Restaurant. Absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked meat served at the table non stop, the way you enjoy your meat until you turn your token from green to red to take a break. Fantastic staff with excellent service and Friendly Manager
Lovely fresh food and wonderful service from Sebastian. Would recommend to anyone for a romantic dinner or if they wanted French cuisine.
Without doubt the best fish and chips I've had anywhere the fish was perfectly flaky the chips were not greasy at all the tartare sauce was freshly made the batter was so light no grease and the mussels were excellent as were the tempura prawns

Great Sunday lunch. Service good. Slight criticism would be that staff could smile more.Would have resulted in higher tip!
