We are semi regular diners at Portabella. The food is always delicious and comes out piping hot. There are always sufficient staff who are pleasant, attentive but not obtrusive. At our recent visit our waitperson (who had been away for a period on maternity leave) remembered us. Her friendly conversation and disposition just added to the lovely dining experience.
My sister and I shared a croque monsieur, an almond croissant and a tarte au citron. They were all delicious. The cappuccino was great too.
We made a reservation for a busy Friday night for our family of 6 and were seated immediately by friendly staff. We all enjoyed our meals which ranged from Barramundi and Eye Fillet steak to Pizza and kids chicken nuggets.
Hands down the best gluten free Thai restaurant you will ever find. Excellent food, loads of genuine gluten free options, very friendly staff. Absolute gem
Delicious 😋. First time visitor with my son. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Tried the sushi rolls California and fresh salmon. Will try some of the other dishes.
Got my usual coffee this morning and thought I would grab a brickie burger from the cabinet, it was great, even more so that is came from the cabinet. Will definitely have one again. The coffee was great as always. They were super busy but still had a smile.
Have to say, hands down the nicest cup of coffee I have had in a very long time. It was so smooth I didn’t even add my normal dose of sugar. We also tried some of the French cookies which were delicious.The staff were so friendly it felt like we’d dropped in on family.We will definitely be coming back for more. It’s coffee shops like this one that make supporting small local businesses easy.
After reading some of the recent reviews, I was so surprised that they were negative as we have eaten here twice recently and thought the food was delicious and the service was great. I would agree that the cocktails are expensive but that seems to be the case these days with exotic drinks in most places. We did have an issue on one visit where we were overcharged for one item but a quick visit back the following day and it was sorted immediately.We had a fish n chip takeaway for 4 people. The extra crispy chips were great, we would order these again. The grilled Barra and cod were not bad. Pricing of the piece of Barramundi ($23.85) was pretty high, so I have to assume it was from a special supplier. A pity they do not have simple fish n chip meal deals for single diners ie Barramundi or cod and chips for $15 or similar.
