Very nice views from the top of the Water tower. Pleasant surprise was that there is a lift to the top so no need to take stairs. Small entrance fee applies but it was wotrh it.
This was a very relaxing, serene walk by the sea and down to the southernmost tip of Finland. Many types of views and habitat types on the way. Lots of seabirds, cows... I would absolutely recommend this for anyone visiting Hanko. It's easy to get here from the city center on a rental bike if you don't have a car. They have a bike rack at the beginning of the trail.
Do note that you need to take the same trail back to the starting position, it does not loop around. The trail also shares some of its border with some kind of industrial complex, which wasn't the best part of the experience, but one has to admire the way in which the trail was able to be fitted right next to urban areas.
Chi ha letto a cosa si riferisce questa bella scultura - del resto l'indicazione dovrebbe apparire chiara già dalla scritta che vi è incisa - difficilmente può rimanere indifferente di fronte all'immagine delle oche selvatiche in volo verso terre lontane. Gli oltre trecentomila finlandesi che nell'arco di un cinquantennio, fra il 1880 e il 1930, partirono da questo molo, spinti dalle difficili condizioni di vita, per andare a cercare fortuna nell'America del Nord o dell'Australia, oggi dimenticati come molti altri consimili di vari paesi europei, meritavano un adeguato tributo.
