Great trip. We arrived at approximately 9:30 am and made our way towards the entrance of the museum. After paying the admission fee, we received a quick overview of the site and went on our way. We opted to view some of the outdoor exhibits first, which included the guard house and press house. The press house contained multiple informational plaques about President Hardings wife and her contributions to society. After viewing the press house, we made our way to the front porch of the house, where we waited for the 10 am guided hour tour to begin. There were guided tours of the presidents former house being held every hour throughout the day. The guided tour of the house was very informational, and the tour guide took us from room to room, while pointing out interesting features and artifacts out for display. The tour guide told us several personal stories related to the Hardings time at the house. The guided tour lasted roughly 1 hour.
After viewing the house, we went back inside to view the main exhibits. We opted to watch a short documentary about President Hardings life and some of the trials and tribulations he faced during his time as President. There were multiple informational plaques out for display, many of them quite text heavy, that went into detail about Hardings upbringing and roots as the owner of a newspaper company in Marion. The plaques also talked about election day, and several of the policy’s Harding implemented while in office. The last section of the museum dealt with his death and some controversial issues that surrounded his presidency. There were multiple artifacts out for display in the museum, along with short video clips that related to President Harding's time in office.
Tip: I recommend spending 3 hours here if you truly want to see everything.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9:30 am and made our way towards the entrance of the memorial. There were several informational plaques located towards the entrance of the memorial, that went over President Hardings early life, along with his contributions to society. The plaques also provided some background information about President Hardings wife and the memorial that was built to honor them. The memorial was towering and we were able to walk up the steps to view the caskets of both the former president and his wife. The grounds were very nicely landscaped and contained a manicured lawn, along with a lot of flowers and plants.
Tip: I recommend spending 30 minutes here if you truly want to see everything.

We saw a nice kids play at the Palace. The staff was wonderful and so helpful, This old gem was beautiful and surprisingly ADA friendly. The lighting and concessions were good. The sound system could use some work. I sat on outside aisle and really couldn't hear the play. It seemed like the people in the middle of the theater were enjoying the play more than those of us on the edge.

I was a little hesitant to visit this store because of the reviews -- but after spending a few days thrifting and antiquing in Ohio and not finding anything I loved, I stopped by on our last day and am so glad I did. This beautiful antique store and the lovely lady who owns it were the highlight of my trip. I found so many beautiful treasures, including two exquisite French vitrine jewelry caskets from the 1870s, a pair of Bohemian garnet earrings with a matching ring, circa 1890s-1910s, several other pieces of antique/vintage jewelry, and some wonderful little curiosities including a rare bakelite sewing cat kit and a trio of antique French santa figurines. To be honest, I am also an antique dealer and was hoping to find some nice small things I could fit into my suitcase that were also priced reasonably enough for me to resell -- I could hardly believe the good deals she gave me. I only wish I would have had enough room to bring back everything I wanted, but if I am ever in Marion again, this will be the first place I visit.
