Interesting historical spot, nice to walk round with lots of added features and artefacts, could have done with some direction signs but we found everything. Interesting to read about the early inhabitants of the region, must have been a tough life back in the day !
Giant Ram Park - is made up of the Wetlands Park, Ninja Park and a fully enclosed children's playground. The Wetlands Park is a lovely park with rock waterfall that cascades down water channels - great for kids to play in. There are several foot bridges to criss-cross then ends up in a lovely pond with Koi Fish. Walking towards the Giant Ram is a very shady fully enclosed young children's playground with slide, various swings and musical equipment - cubby houses, wooden boat etc - all playground equipment looks new. Nearby are shelters with gas BBQ and toilets. Up behind the big Ram is a Ninja Parkour Course with Start and Finish it has climbing nets, climbing walls, and flying fox - great for older children and young at heart. This is areat place to stop as lots of parking. The caravan park is also nearby.
This is a charming and comfortable hotel with still a few rough edges since it is in renovation process.
We stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and renovated bedroom large with high ceilings and lounge area only a few steps down hallway. Dinner in elegant dining-room was nice, excellent value, as

Ever so close to nearby activities.Great public pool, has two separate pools, one for young children with shade and then the large pool. The bigger pool has disability access with a walk in ramp. This looks like a brand new complex - surrounded by grass, plenty of shade during hot days. Open Tuesday to Sunday Tue Wed Thur and Fri 6am to 9am then 1pm to 6pm. Sat & Sun 11.30 to 6pm.There is a rock waterfall that goes to a beautiful pond with Koi fish. The waterfall goes into a water channel that meanders down towards the pond, you can cross over several bridges, It is quiet and peaceful, there are free barbeques and seating nearby as well as toilet facilities. This is located right near the Giant RAM - lots of parking. THere are two playgrounds nearby - an enclosed playground for younger children which has swings and slides and musical instruments. Behind the RAM is a Ninja Park for older children and those young at heart. The equipment all looks brand new.Located behind the Giant Ram is a Ninja Course for children and the young at heart. Ninja Park has a start and finishing area. The course consists of ropes course, climbing, nets, flying fox, climbing wall etc. Its located in a shady part of the park. Great area with barbeques and toilets available. Nearby is the Wetlands area which has a small waterfall that winds down a channel that you could float boats on to a big bond. Several bridges - cross over the water - again nice and shaded area.
