I was in Nagoya area visiting family in hot humid August. Was looking for a resort style pool to enjoy and my niece found this place. I do not know Japanese, my niece was able to book the tickets in advance on their website for the Pool. I would have not been able to book myself as everything was in Japanese with no translating. The tickets were good for any day. I don't remember the wifi working, but had a screen shot of the confirmation. Was able to get the ticket pulled up and scanned in. There was a window to buy tickets next to the entrance, but don't think anyone spoke English.
Compared to US public pools/areas, this felt cleaner and nicer. There is a wave pool, pool with fountain show, lazy river. Little area you can reserve for the day (couldn't do in advance). The area has a water slide too and some other rides. Can't wear jewelry on the water slide, but they have a little lockers you can leave your items in prior to walking up the slide. The food felt less overpriced and better quality in comparison to USA parks (the USD exchange rate was favorable Aug 2023).
Entry was $89.32 USD for 3 adults and 1 child for pool only. It was another $45-$50 to get a big inflatable chair. Was nice to have an area to take breaks and relax. Also, felt safe leaving phones/etc. in the inflatable chair.
The staff randomly kicks you out of different areas to give the pools a "break", but there is always a pool open. The park was busy being peak summer hot summer season, but was less crowded later in the day. We were kicked out close to 6pm as they prepare for night swim. We would go back to try night swim.
Finding the park from the train station was a little confusing. There was some signs, but no follow up signs. There is supposed to be a shuttle that goes to and from the train station, but we had bad timing. To walk from train station, go down the hill towards the water. You will pass a police station and get to an intersection with a directional billboard. Walk down the road of the directional billboard and make a right when it dead ends. Go right for what feels like forever when you don't know where you are going. You should see a Ferris wheel when you get closer to the area. Google maps said we had arrived by walking when our feet had just entered the area and there was much more walking to do, but the walk wasn't horrible. The park was a little cheesy in places, but clean. They played good music too. Maybe one day will go back for night pool.
If you like oranges, those Mandarin oranges, you will surely love this place. This place is our very first visited attraction after touching down in Nagoya.
About slightly over an hour drive from the Chubu Airport, we came here for fruit picking that is oranges that are in season. Admission fee was 1000-1100yen and we could freely eat as many oranges in the park as we want and also fill up a plastic bag of oranges and take home.
We had fruit picked before but first time with oranges. Love the fragrance of the fruits! But be careful when you walk through the farm, there were lots of rotten oranges on the ground with insects around. It will be good if they can provide a pair of scissors to cut the oranges instead of plucking them that may harm the trees and causing wastage due to the falling of the oranges!
The farm was huge with hundreds of orange trees, mostly fruiting and we ate to our heart's content. It was awesome! And the oranges were very juicy and sweet, freshly plucked from the trees!
Afterwhich, we dropped by at the retail store next door to enjoy our free ice cream. It was so creamy and flavourful! And visitors can also pickup a great number of orange related items like orange jam or candies, pastries and other types of food items. And you can also have a meal in the cafeteria on the upper floor where they serve good local dishes too.
It was a fun and interesting activity! But as we have had too many oranges and so now we are a little phobia towards the fruit! LOL!
