Wonderful time on the river. We mostly floated enjoying nature. Completely clear water. We saw lots of fish, a turtle, buzzard and crane. I highly recommend!

Visited the CAM's new Veterans Exhibit to see the WWII painting entitled: 'MORNIN 'MERGENCY by Ohio Artist David Jakupca.
Located at Grimes Airport in quaint Urbana, Ohio, CAM has invited everyone to join in their Veterans Experience and has planned a series of celebratory events and activities throughout 2025 and is looking forward to connecting people with the history of Aviation.
The CAM experience is unique because it encourages a up close and personal involvement to its exhibits unlike many museums where exhibits are 'roped off' from the public. People can actually see historic aircraft being assembled from the ground up and talk to the friendly mechanics about the process.
Amenities are good with Mindy's Cafe, an authentic 1950's diner serving full course meals in a vintage aviation motif.

We pulled in and went into the "gift shop".
A staff member was on the phone walking around the shop and never acknowledged we were there.
Minutes later when she hung up I told her we were interested in the tour of the facilities. Emotionless she responded, "It's self guided. Walk down the drive to the last barn on the right."
So we did.
To be honest, it looks rough! Grass is high, barn doors open and stuff just piled inside. Equipment and materials just laying out in the yard.
When you get to the back, there are a bunch of blowup pools with filters and fish in them. Kinda neat....
But then when we walked INSIDE the last barn.... That's where the attraction is.
There was a staff member in there and he never said a word to us! and we were there probably over half an hour. He also just acted like we didn't exist.
But! Inside you can slide the fence open and PET STUERGONS! The water was FRIGID! but the kids didn't care. They were up to their shoulders in the water.
There were also crawfish to pick up and look at, frogs, salamanders (that were small fish) and box turtles to pick up and see, and tons of fish. "Baby" trout and "Teenage" trout were inside before they moved the "Adult" trout outside.
The staff member did feed the snapping turtle while we were there. I called the kids over once I realized what he was doing. He never said anything to us, but would have been nice if he had gotten our attention and told us about it.
We took the liberty to walk through the "desk" area to wash our hands (and arms) in the sink with the Dawn dish soap.
There were also goats to pet in a wooded area before you left. However, there was a gigantic Great Pyrenees dog that told us that we had been there long enough and it was time to leave the goats alone.
You can feed the fish and goats if you bring quarters for the machine.
Don't expect an "attraction" here ... but it was indeed neat to see.
And an added bonus that it is free.

Pretty park and a beautiful 911 memorial. GPS took us directly there. They were spray washing the memorial area when we arrived but there were other displays to walk to and enjoy while we waited.
