Fabulous range and tasty curries. Have been going once a month to catch up with friends. The waiter is excellent, and friendly staff. Explains the menu and is honest.
absolutely 10/10 service, nothing that i’ve seen before !! as a young female who tends to go on solo dinners often, i have found that many restaurants dismiss you and dont put in much effort to ensure you have a good experience. but the opposite could be said for redditch spice. as soon as i walked in a young lad greeted me and found me a table. he was always extremely polite and gave me enough time to go over the menu before asking me if i was ready to order, which was great as usually this tends to be an issue for me. the food was exquisite, with the chicken curry and keema naan being really flavourful. chap was super nice the entire time i was there, and same could be said for the rest of the staff
Have been going here for over 20 years and always had great experiences & food. We booked a table for 7 but arrived at 6.35 we explained we were early and if our table wasn’t ready we’d go a few doors up and have a drink no problem. He said no you can have the table by the window for 4 at no Point did he say we need the table back! Young guy I’ve never seen before, brought poppadoms and starter, we asked for a break after the starter to which he said in need the table in 45 minutes. Main course came my rogan gosh was bland and tasted like a base sauce, when my friend mentioned it he never said a word and walked off. Over he came again so I asked for the bill, he brought the bill and totally stressed said I need the table now at which we paid. On the way out I spoke to him at the counter and said had you said our table wasn’t ready we would have come back! No expression what so ever! If I was a burley 6 foot guy would he have pestered us 3 times? I doubt it very much. I won’t return here, putting an inexperience kid front of house just isn’t good! I’ll go over the road to essence which is outstanding even so more pricy I’d rather be treated like a paying customer rather than have an aggressive kid tell me 3 times he needs the table back.
Me and my friend ordered over the phone for collection tonight. Only a 15 minute wait which was great food was piping hot still when we got home and plated it up :) Portions are plentiful! 1X half portion chk tikka masala 1X half portion chk curry 1 chips 1 naan 1 rice We shared the sides and had a half curry each and still couldn’t finish it :D Food was great overall and when greeted at the door and given our food all staff were polite and friendly. Fairly priced too in my opinion for what you get it’s a bargain! Will definitely come again :)) Thankyou
