It’s a welcome respite after a morning in the market. The house specialty is chile relleno with creamy cojita sauce, sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. If you are a fan of salsa that have a surprise, slightly delayed burn (we are), salsas are tasty and have “character.”
Excelente lugar, familiar, buena comida, ambiente agradable, la calle por el momento está difícil de transitar
This place is wonderful! It’s a beautiful restaurant that’s tastefully decorated. There’s 2 fountains inside which gives you a feeling of being refreshed before you even order. The servers were terrific! Very attentive. The menu is in Spanish and English which was very helpful. I don’t remember what the name of the dish my husband had, but it was thinly sliced steak with gravy, a baked potato and steamed, seasoned vegetables. It was so delicious! I had the salmon on a bed of mashed potatoes with salad and rice. Hands down the best salmon I’ve ever eaten! It was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. Wonderful experience! We would definitely go back, if we ever get the chance.
El Rincón del Sol, Tonalá’, Jalisco, México My wife and I happened to map search for restaurants while in Tonala’. Wow…what a find with El Rincón del Sol restaurant. Excellent cleanliness, service and food. Very nice Mexican style atmosphere. We had the house speciality Chiles en Nogada. I did not know it but this is normally a seasonal dish at most restaurants. Lucky for us El Rincon del Sol serves it year round and it is marvelous! We also had the house special appetizer of Quesadillas Tonaltecas, which are also excellent. The owner, Ildefonso, talked to us for awhile and made us feel at home in his restaurant. We hope to return someday for another great meal at El Rincon del Sol!! (Aug. 20, 2022)
