Surrounded by old timbers and expensive wines, this is a pleasant place to sit. You do not have to drink alcohol as the coffee is readily available and good to drink. I ordered a Croque Monsieur and it took a long time to come. I think the staff got distracted by other customers and the crust of the bread was well burnt. Anyhow, the service otherwise was good and I was offered all that I needed, including water.
Why haven't I been here before?! Great range of wines which you can browse from the fridge and shelves which is my favourite way to explore before making your choice. I was impressed with the pricing too, solid wines from $50 upwards. Staff were really switched on, helpful and more than happy to provide suggestions. We were able to order in pizza through a place a few doors down which was also delicious. The only downsides were the charcuterie board which was pretty stinge for $40 and that they closed at 9pm despite the place still heaving, but that might be a liquor licensing thing given the local area. Super impressed, especially with the wines on offer and staff - definitely worth a visit. Easily accessible from Toorak train station if you want to enjoy a few.
