Fantastic Sunday lunch, would definitely recommend this village pub, beautiful location, looks like the locals support it which in my eyes is a good thing, attentive waiters and bar staff will definitely be back
Really good lunch. Very knowledgeable about allergies and I had gluten free fish and chips! Probably the best I have ever had (massive I couldn't finish it and I'm greedy) and I hope that they never take it off the menu! 2 little boys very satisfied with their burgers and chips and the big boy (their father!) raved about his burger and chips with the most amazing gravy to dip into. Beautiful pub with great banquette seating and we are already planning our next trip. We have lived nearby for a while but haven't visited to eat which is a real oversight (and we are now thinking of moving to the village as a result of the great pub!). Staff were lovely as well. We will be back to try the Sunday roast soon!
Went for Xmas lunch. It was appalling, without doubt the worst and most expensive meal I have ever had. The starter Pate was passable but the toast was stone cold. The main you got, 2 slices of turkey half a carrot, a small ball of stuffing, a slither of Parsnip 3 small roast potatoes, one very small pig in blanket and a spoon of red cabbage and that was it. No sprouts no greens. The dessert was mousse with a ginger biscuits crumble topping that was tasteless. For £33 it was an absolute joke.
We had the most delicious Sunday lunch at this very warm and welcoming pub. We were served by Ruby for our mains and Ellie for our deserts. The food was first class all home made and delicious. The portions were very generous and served piping hot. Great menu to choose from. Would absolutely recommend a visit for a superb meal,
