I was shocked by the condiment s on the table, all filthy and moldy looking, food was below par and expensive. Will not go back there. I would recommend the health department pay a visit
giving this place 4 stars is a gift. No way. At best a 3 star. food and service are very average. Used to be a good place for lunch and dinner. Not lately. Don't know what has changed over the last year.
Great local Cafe with all the attraction of a small airport. After lunch we had some homemade pie. We enjoyed ourselves so much we drove back to have breakfast and more Pie!! We were treated like family from the friendly staff.
There is a museum next door to walk off that extra piece of pie. Good place for kids to stay occupied with the airport activity.
Absolute worst service I have ever gotten. As a rule i dont give reviews unless theyre good ones. However, the waitress was so very poor in attitude. She was rude to the couple seated after my group determined to embarrass them and she was very rude to me as well as the two with me. So much so I nicely asked her about it. She made the excuse that she was doing her job. It's her job to be rude and hateful? I won't be back and I will be telling others of my experience.
My husband and I met the owner about a year ago and she invited us to come
to her restaurant. Well, we finally made it to Urbana and had a couple of absolutely fantastic burgers! They were hot and fresh and had our favorite toppings. My husband enjoyed the macaroni salad which was also homemade. For dessert we had peanut butter pie and butterscotch pie. The pie just melts in your mouth.
Mindy, the owner, is down-to-earth and personable. She and her staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to serve their customers.
Come to the Airport Cafe for the best home cooking! You won't regret it!
