We had organised an all day taxi tour around North Macedonia and Albania from Ohrid and stopped in Struga for a drink and to walk around. Lots of people sunbathing along the rivers. Great to see the daredevils diving in from the two bridges.
Het water stroomt hard in het begin bij het meer maar eenmaal beneden vloeit het heel rustig. Je kunt er langs wandelen of fietsen. Aan de zijkanten zijn verschillende terrassen van restaurants en er flaneren veel mensen.
The Black Drim is a river with clear water due to coming from Ohrid lake. The beach starts at the mouth of the Black Drim. There is a bridge, also what they call a dam that you can cross. In Yugoslavia times, they could close the dam and cut off water flow to Albania and often did.
The River is a lovely place for a stroll when visiting Struga - the banks are lined with shops and restaurants with plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by.
